STUDIO POLICIES

1. Attendance & Make-Up Classes
    •    Dancers should arrive 5–10 minutes early to warm up and prepare.
    •    Please notify the studio if your dancer will be absent.
    •    Make-up classes may be offered based on availability but are not guaranteed.
    •    Excessive absences may result in missed choreography or being removed from sections of routines.
    •    Arrivals more than 10 minutes late may be asked to observe for safety.



2. Tuition & Payments
    •    Tuition is due on the 1st of each month unless otherwise stated.
    •    Accepted payments:  Automatic Billing and card through website.
    •    A late fee applies after a 5-day grace period.
    •    Registration and tuition payments are non-refundable.
    •    Tuition is based on enrollment, not attendance. Missed classes do not reduce tuition.



3. Dress Code

Each class requires appropriate attire to ensure safety and professional training.

Ballet: leotard, tights, ballet shoes, hair in a bun.
Jazz/Lyrical: fitted top, leggings/shorts, jazz shoes or barefoot.
Hip Hop: clean sneakers, comfortable clothing.
Contemporary: fitted dancewear; no loose jewelry.
General Rules:
    •    Hair must be secured away from face.
    •    No dangling jewelry.
    •    Proper shoes required for each style.



4. Drop-Off & Pick-Up
    •    Dancers may be dropped off no earlier than 10 minutes before class.
    •    Please pick up dancers on time. A late pick-up fee may apply after 10 minutes.
    •    Only approved adults may pick up young dancers.
    •    Parents are welcome to wait inside; however, we do not have a designated waiting area, so at times you may be asked to wait outside.



5. Studio Etiquette & Behavior Expectations
    •    Respect instructors, staff, and fellow dancers at all times.
    •    No bullying, gossip, or negative behavior — A & W is a safe, supportive environment.
    •    No running or rough play in the studio.
    •    Phones must be silent and put away during class.
    •    Water only inside studios; no gum or food.



6. Safety & Injury Policy
    •    Parents must inform instructors of any relevant injuries or restrictions.
    •    A & W is not responsible for injuries that may occur during normal physical activity.
    •    In case of injury, staff will contact the parent/guardian immediately.
    •    Dancers who are sick or contagious must stay home.




 

7. Media & Photo Release

•    A & W may take photos or videos of classes, rehearsals, and events for marketing and social media.   

•    Families may opt out by notifying the studio in writing.

 

 

8. Performance Policy
    •    Mandatory rehearsals must be attended to perform.
    •    Costume fees are due by the posted deadline.
    •    Absences during the week before the show may remove a dancer from portions of choreography.
    •    Dancers must arrive on time, in full hair/makeup, for all shows and dress rehearsals.



9. Studio Closures & Cancellations
    •    Classes may be canceled due to holidays, weather, emergencies, or low enrollment.
    •    Families will be notified by email/text.
    •    If the studio cancels a class, a make-up class may be offered.



10. Lobby & Parent Policy
    •    To maintain focus, parents should not coach or communicate with dancers during class.
    •    Viewing is allowed only through designated windows or on special viewing days.
    •    Please keep conversations in the studio respectful and at a low volume.



11. Code of Conduct / Anti-Bullying
    •    A & W has zero tolerance for bullying, harassment, exclusion, or disrespect.
    •    Dancers must treat others with kindness and maturity.
    •    Parents/guardians are expected to conduct themselves respectfully toward instructors and other families.



12. Social Media Policy
    •    Dancers must represent the studio positively online.
    •    Posting choreography or class videos requires instructor permission.
    •    No sharing personal information about other students or staff.



13. Withdrawal Policy
    •    A 30-day written notice is required to withdraw from classes.
    •    Tuition is still due during the 30-day period.
    •    Once withdrawn, a new registration may be required to rejoin.
